Privacy
We are not open yet. The only thing we collect today is the waiting list, and this explains exactly what happens to it.
Who holds your details
We are pre-launch and not yet trading. The company behind BackYour.Club is being set up, and until it is, this list is held by the people building it and used for nothing but telling you when we open. If we are not properly set up and open by 31 October 2026, we will delete the list rather than go on holding it.
BackYour.Club is the data controller. You can reach a person at hello@backyour.club.
What we collect, and why
If you join the waiting list we hold your first name, your last name, your email address and your club’s name. We use them for one thing: to tell you when we open.
We will not add you to a newsletter, contact you about anything else, sell your details, or pass them to anyone for their own purposes.
Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time and we will delete your details.
How long we keep it
Up to twelve months from the day you join, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If we have not opened within twelve months, we will delete the list rather than hold it indefinitely.
Who else can see it
The list is stored in a database run by Supabase and the site is hosted by Vercel. They process the data on our behalf and do nothing else with it. Nobody else has access, and the list is not readable from this website — only from the server, with credentials only we hold.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to us holding it at all. Email hello@backyour.club and a person will answer. There is nothing to prove and no form to fill in.
If you think we have handled your details badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first, but you do not have to.
When we open
Backing a club will mean holding more than this — who backs which club, and how you want your name to appear on a club’s page, including not at all. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us. We will publish a fuller notice covering all of it before any of it starts, and it will be linked from here.
